What is the role of the filler in the cable?

Cable fillers play multiple important roles in the manufacture and use of cables, as follows:
(I) keep the cable round: the cable filler can fill the gap between the cable cores, so that the cable is kept round during the cable forming process, avoiding the twist shape on the cable surface when squeezing the sheath, thus reducing the use of sheath materials.
(II) improve the stability of the cable structure: the filler makes the cable core stable in the process of squeezing the sheath, and prevents the increase of cable cost due to the embedding of the sheath material in the middle of the cable core.
(III) improve the cable anti-stretching and anti-sway performance: filler can enhance the cable anti-stretching and anti-sway ability, improve the mechanical strength of the cable.
