Promote learning through exhibitions and foster growth through practice

On September 21 this year, the four-day China International Cable and Wire Exhibition was successfully held in Shanghai. As a newcomer to the industry with just two months of experience, I was honored to participate in this grand event alongside the company team. From the pre-event setup, four days of client接待 during the exhibition, on-site learning and exchanges, to the final dismantling and closing, I experienced the entire process of a high-level, professional industry exhibition. This was my first time attending a national-scale cable industry event, and the four days of observations, interactions, and learning provided me with immense gains and rapid growth, offering a fresh and profound understanding of the industry, its products, and my professional responsibilities.
When I first entered the industry, my understanding of the cable industry, silicone supporting materials, and customer process requirements was still quite superficial, remaining largely at the theoretical and basic learning stage. However, this four-day exhibition truly allowed me to face the market, customers, and industry competition head-on. During the exhibition setup phase, I diligently assisted the team in completing tasks such as booth arrangement, sample display, and material organization. This familiarized me with the standardized exhibition procedures and provided a more intuitive understanding of the characteristics, advantages, and application scenarios of the company's various cable and silicone products.
During the exhibition, the large flow of people and the concentration of professional clients led to frequent visits and inquiries from cable manufacturers, procurement personnel, and technical experts from across the country. Starting with nervousness and reluctance to communicate, I gradually became capable of independently handling client interactions, explaining product features, and recording customer needs. This four-day hands-on experience rapidly enhanced my communication skills and professional knowledge. By listening to client inquiries and observing colleagues' negotiations, I systematically learned the stringent requirements for high-end cables in terms of temperature resistance, flame retardancy, environmental compliance, and high-stability silicone materials. I also gained insight into the key concerns of end manufacturers, which include batch stability, complete certifications, process compatibility, and reliable delivery.
As a newcomer, I deeply realize that the cable industry, though seemingly traditional, evolves extremely rapidly, with markets demanding increasingly stringent requirements for high-quality supporting materials. Low-cost, low-grade materials are gradually being phased out, while specialized, standardized, and stable supply chains represent the future trend. This also gives me a clearer understanding of the company's commitment to producing high-quality cable silicone supporting materials and its inherent advantages.
The four-day exhibition was busy and fulfilling, allowing me to quickly bridge my gaps in industry knowledge, broaden my horizons, and gain valuable frontline customer experience. It also made me clearly aware of my shortcomings: insufficient depth in professional knowledge, lack of experience in client negotiations, and the need to further strengthen my grasp of process matching details.
The exhibition has concluded, marking a new starting point for learning and work. Moving forward, I will take this exhibition experience as an opportunity to maintain a beginner's mindset of continuous learning, identify gaps and strengthen my professional foundation, while mastering the performance of our company's products, adaptation processes, and industry standards. Additionally, I will diligently organize the client resources gathered during the exhibition, follow up with each one, and steadily accumulate experience and progress.
Although my time in the industry is short, I am constantly growing. In the future, I will further immerse myself in my role, deepen my expertise in the field, continue learning, actively explore new opportunities, and strive to quickly develop into a competent and professional business professional. I aim to keep pace with the company's growth and contribute my fresh energy to its market expansion efforts.
